Grand Theft Auto IV is an open worlds action game published for ps3 and xbox 360 pn 29 April 2008 and 2 December 2008 for PC.The game follows a Niko Bellic,a veteran of an unnamed wars in Eastern Europe,who comes to the United States in search of someone important.
GTA Iv allows the player to free roam a large open world environment.the player can wal,run,jumpclimb,awim and can use weapons.
The characters that appear in Grand Theft Auto IV are diverse and relative to the respective boroughs of Liberty City they are based in; belonging to various gangs and ethnic groups. The player controls Niko Bellic, an eastern European veteran of an unknown war. According to Dan Houser, virtually none of the characters from the previous games would return, as "most of the characters we liked were dead," further evidenced by in-game graffiti bidding farewell to these characters

*STEPS* 

 Step 1: Navigate to Control panel and then to Add/Remove Programs.

 Step 2: Locate Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable, more importantly, one's  that  say something with x64 on end. Apparently this game runs on 32-bit? Im not completely sure but 32-bit installer comes in the downloaded package once GTAIV is installed.

Step 3: Uninstall any Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable items listed in Add/Remove programs.

Step 4:Install the new Visual C++2005 (from the link)
Step 5:Attempt to load GTAIV once more.No problems will be found.

NOTE: If you have any problem,then-
 1) just run as Administrator! It may help you.. :)
 2) Only go to "Compatibility options" and change to Windows XP SP3. Good luck guys.
